Lake Sylvan Trail
A half-day guided walk
The looped track of the Lake Sylvan Trail offers a beautiful half-day walk of easy grade in Mount Aspiring National Park.
Surrounded by stunning native beech forest and inquisitive bird life, this relaxed 2.5hrs guided walk includes a fascinating look into early local history and Department of Conservation sustainability projects. Located just beyond Glenorchy near to the start of the Routeburn Track, the only way to experience this unique and outstanding environment is to get up close and personal. While wandering among trees in the beech forest, exploring your surroundings and hearing the gentle sounds of the streams, trees and birds, you will be transported to a world of peace and tranquillity.
Along with entertaining and informative commentary, your guide will also provide trail mix snacks along with bottled water, and day packs, rain jackets and walking poles where required.
